Nishant Dange Back To Artist Profile
Nishant is born in 1982, Nagpur, Maharashtra. He did his Bachelor of Fine Arts (Painting), from Government Chitrakala Mahavidyalaya, Nagpur, 2004.

Nishant Dange’s works in charcoal on paper are odes to female beauty. Drawing a fine line between the sensuous and the sensual, Dange’s figures are graceful; yet executed with confident, bold lines. Using dark charcoal, the artist adds drama to the moment, striking a contrast with the other colours on the surface. On the other hand, Dange’s depiction of hair, for instance, draws attention to his fine detailing and meticulous finishing.

He is credited with All India Fine Art and Crafts Society (AIFACS) Award, New Delhi, 2009, Art Society of India, Mumbai, 2009, Bombay Art Society Award, Mumbai, 2007, Dr. Bhausaheb Deshmukh Art Academy Award for Best Portrait, Maharashtra, 2004, 1st Prize, Annual Art Exhibition, Government Chitrakala Mahavidyalaya, Nagpur, 2001-04.

He has held several Group and Solo Shows Mumbai and Delhi apart from several other exhibitions organised by reputed institutions across India.
